Quail’s School of Motoring Instructor Training College
Welcome to Quail’s School of Motoring’s Instructor Training College, the largest independent Instructor Training College in the North West.
Quails School of Motoring has been operating since 1989 and has grown into the largest independent Driving School in the North West. We have grown our school quite simply due to the fact that we have built the company on solid foundations with the best instructors and instructor trainers in the UK. The main reason is simple; more people pass with Quail’s than with any other independent school in the area, we are built up mainly on recommendations. As an Ordit registered training body, we have earned a fantastic reputation for getting people through their driving test and ADI tests very quickly.
The company has very high standards and is known as the driving school that gets results fast.
At Quail’s we have been training people to become instructors as we feel nobody can come anywhere near to the standards we are looking for, we also started training to combat the poor tuition being given, as well as the massive costs being charged by the so called, “Bigger Companies”.
Over the coming weeks we will be posting a full overview of our driving instructor training course. Our course ‘INTRODUCTION’ is displayed below. Please visit our website next week for ‘PART 1 TEST – THEORY AND HAZARD PERCEPTION’
INTRODUCTION
To become – an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), you will need to pass three tests set by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). Because there are three parts to becoming an ADI, it will understandably take a few months to qualify.
The requirements – to become an ADI. You have to have held a full driving licence for at least three and a half years and have no more than six penalty points on your driving licence. You will also have to be able to read a car registration plate at 90 feet (with glasses if normally worn). All of this information and more is in the ADI 14 pack which we supply you with. The ADI 14 pack is the application you need to become registered onto the official register of Driving Instructors.
Before you complete the ADI 14 registration pack, you have to complete a successful Criminal Record Bureau check (CRB).
We will put you in touch with the Criminal Record Bureau team and help arrange this process for you. The CRB check may take several weeks to process and when this is completed, you can then complete the ADI 14 pack which requires your CRB reference number. The ADI 14 is then returned to the Driving Standards Agency who will send you a letter confirming that you are on the register for Approved Driving Instructors. You can then begin your Driving Instructor Training.
Training – At Quail’s Instructor Training College, training is tailored according to the individuals personal circumstances. The training is designed to accelerate you through each test in the shortest possible time. Most people who train to become driving instructors hold down a job at the same time and we recognise this. That is why our course is specifically designed to fit around your current job or other commitments on a part-time basis. So whether you train full time or part-time is up to you. Either way, it is a proven successful formula.
You will be hard pushed to find better quality tuition on offer. What’s more, your training will be local! This will ensure you get the best possible training and once working as an ADI, local knowledge is essential.
